“There goes a well-known saying that : “Everything happens for a reason”. This quote implies the nature of human beings to own purposes behind every action. Indulging in the limitless joy of AIESEC might give any AIESECer a fulfill soul; however, it is always better to be informed of the progress which our LC is striving for. This newsletter is an official update of what our LC is doing. What has our LCP done for the last month? What are our VPs strategies to achieve LC’s goals? MARCOM’s culture is “mean” :)) , how about iGIP’s? So, let’s join us on this journey ♥”.

Before surfing through this corner, take a few minutes to think about these questions:

– What were the things I accomplished last month ?
– Who did inspire me last month ?
– What did I learn from the activities I joined ?

And now, let’s have a look on our LCP’s answers through his own story:

Like many in my generation, I am a generalist. I have bits and pieces of knowledge in many areas, and I am ‘generally good’ at a few things. From LCVP and LCP background, I do not have tons of lession to share regarding building a team, holding tough discussion, making a sound decision, … But still there are concerns when it comes to the question “In which field will I find myself an expert ?”

One day I went to a coffee shop and found two men discussing something very interesting. The conversation went something like this:

Him: “What kind of jobs do you enjoy doing the most? ”

Me: “Hmm, I do love having a team of 5 to 8 people working very hard towards one shared purpose. I love doing the role of communicating, planning and ensuring that everything is still on track.”

Him: “Where do you find yourself in life?”

Me: “A business consultant, or an CEO. Still there are problems, hardly can I find any field where I consider myself an expert, meanwhile management is not an expertise”.

Him: “Let’s make it clear! Surely, management IS an expertise, and you have yet to reach the level of being expert in the field of management”.

Me: “Please tell me. What are the levels in leadership and management? ”

Him: “There are five of them …”

The asking guy was me, who are pretty sure that he still wants to learn more about leadership and management; and for once, to fulfill his own potential.

  1. Functional visit from MCVP: MCVP will deliver training based on needs of members
  2. Focus on value delivery: Run the 1st LEAD event of the phase – Customize 16 Standard & Satisfaction based on customer’ needs
  3. Push up exchange result: Synergy with MarCom oGX in promoting intensively project this phase – Promote EXCEL project from India to LC – Approaching Podio form daily in order to shorten matching process.

  • Developing competencies of Salesman and improving management to drive results within October:
    Invite guess speaker: A. Bach
    – Managing Consultants to share about Sales
    – Work harder & smarter: carefully market research, smartly follow-up and decisively close sales
  • Matching smartly and happily:
    Understand partners’ references to interview effectively & send EPs to partners right
    Utilize EXPA smarter
  • Value Delivery focus:
    – Develop Value Delivery for interns align with 16 S&S, especially Job

    – Work with oGT commission to finalize & execute Train the Buddy project
    – Work with oGT in HCMC region to build up booth for oGT in Youth Speak
    – Analyze the effectiveness in partnership with G.A.P Institute (in terms of training & development for EPs)

    – Run trial LEAD Nurturing campaign for international students
    – Synergy with MarCom oGX in running Global Entrepreneur as a sub

    – Continuously analyze and propose solutions for EP Supply management

  1. Implementing TMP Recruitment Fall 2016
    Finish the new competency value model, which will affect most of the talent management tools/process and the way we implement it
    Manage and guide all stakeholders (Externals, Assessors, EBs) through the whole 1-month process
    – Deliver Induction for our beloved newbies
  2. Executing Talent Auditing for oGV & iGT
    – 
    Define the current needs of these 2 function in terms of capacity, competencies, training,,…
    – Develop & execute programs to fulfill those need
  3. My AIESEC Life 1st wave launch
    – 
    Revise the framework, more user-friendly
    – Push implementation, stressing mainly on how leaders and members can develop their competencies through MAL

This term BD aims to play a more strategic role toward LC:
– Inkind sales (food and beverage) was cut short
– Directly contributes to Exchange Result by pionering with Global Entrepreneur
– Deliver high quality service to LC’s pool of partners
– Build a foundation of B2B Marketing

FINANCE

  1. Quarterly Finance Report for LC & Monthly Report for EB team
    – Make sure everyone is aware of the current financial situation of our LC
    – Decision making process is better off
    – Further investment or resource allocation will be considered to utilize our potent
  2. Functional Plan Implementation
    Process & Policy standardization for better cooperation and more importantly synergy between Finance and other functions
     Legacy projects that Finance in this term wants to leave for future generation
    – Cultural projects that really promote the Finance image throughout LC or boost connection between Financiers
  3. Collect iGT Receivable from Partners
    – There’s still a large amount of money that iGT partners own(known as receivable) our LC
    – Adjust the process or take the feedback about Finance iGT Partners working chain so that in the future we won’t suffer by a big amount of money owned by companies

MarCom OGX

  1. Deliver education/trainings for #SURPRISEDMarOGX:
    – Design learning journey for newbie/junior members
    – Cordinate to invite facis and deliver content for training – 4 training organized: Email, Design, Copy writing and Facebook marketing
    – Still more trainings ahead 🙂
  2. Kick-off promotion for oGV
    – Finalize content plan for 2 pages of oGV promotion
    – Execute plan for Humans of AIESEC FTU HCMC for 2 weeks for 2 weeks pass
    – Finalize customer flow and sub-product
  3. Drive IXP Culture in LC
    – IXP corner in LCH decoration coming soon
    – Sharing from former MCVP oGV in LCM October
  4. Push up the result for oGT
    – Revise plan for oGT promotion
    – Execute plan for oGT for 2 weeks pass
